Welcome to Te Pou Tī Kōuka | Springfield School.
Nestled at the foothills of the Southern Alps, Springfield School is staffed for 2025 with 3 classrooms - Year 1-2, 2-3 and 4-6. Our teaching staff are supported by a full time principal, part time teacher aide and part time office administrator. The staff are supported by a committed School Board and an active PTA to ensure the school is well equipped, resourced and funded. Springfield School is a focal point within the community and our roll usually sits between the high 30s - mid 40s.
Our current projects consist of putting some love into our school pool followed by some more native planting - this time in our local community.
We are currently constructing a new bike shed to replace the old, well-worn one!
School Board Election Results
Upon clarification with the New Zealand School Board Association, we have the correct number of parent representatives (4). As the election did not require to go to a vote due to having the exact number of nominations as there were places to fill, the below candidates took office 7 days after the closing of the call for nominations.
The following candidates have been elected to the Springfield School Board:
- Rory White
- Kurt Rowlands
- Lachlan Faulkner
- Wendy Rushworth
I would like to congratulate those who were nominated and have joined our board. Thank you to all of our whānau and families who took part in the school board elections this
year.
UPDATE: Staff Representative By Election
I would like to congratulate Chanelle Gleimius on her re-election to the School Board as Staff Representative. As the election did not require to go to a vote due to having the exact number of nominations as there were places to be filled, Chanelle takes office 7 days after the closing call for nominations.
